CodeBreaker Modifications

Post by Roareye »

I dunno if this is the right forum, but I was wondering if it is possible to modify the CodeBreaker discs slightly, in order to change the default codes stored on them.

By default the codes include things like INFINITE LIVES and things like that, codes I have absolutely zero interest in, basically.
The codes would prefer on there by default are things like the Widescreen/16:9 codes and VGA codes (F355 in PAL needs a code for VGA for example), as well as alternate camera codes (PAL F355 has a rear camera mode and a certain amount of HUD removal in Codebreaker codes).

Entering these manually on a DC is long and tedious, and the save files on the VMUs can be a bit hit-or-miss as to their stability.

Anyone know how plausible it would be to change the codes pre-stored on the disc?

It would be easier to have a homebrew patching disc like what BlueCrab made for PSO than to modify a retail cheat disc, most likely.
