Really Sucks.

Been a member for a long time, although not a prolific contributor (I rarely have anything interesting to say!)

If you have never visited Assembler before now seems like a good time to visit and trawl through some of the fantastic information contained there before it vanishes.

Sad, it’s a true vault of information, for all consoles, big or small...granted, I haven’t posted there in about 2 years, (not that that says anything, being admin here and I hardly ever post over here too LoL) but I always checked there first when I needed to know something technical, coz it simply had a thread there, no matter how crazy it was...what baffles me the most is that he is simply shutting down, while there’s plenty of folks willing to take it over...all that information will be gone soon...sad

Yeah, I am trying to get them to pass it on to other users like Bad_ad84 and I expressed interest in moderating it full time if they can give ownership to people who actually care about the community. I moderated and helped run TIZ from 2010-15, so I have enough experience and would be honored to help that place out. It is my old stomping ground besides this place so it is very near and dear to my heart. If we can;t get somebody else to take it over, well then we must try and create a new community, or welcome others here who aren't registered.

If anything the closing of that place should give this site a huge shot in the arm and boost user numbers hopefully.

The guy who runs the site is worthless, he doesn't care about the community and just wants money. I haven't been back to that site since he let it go offline for months.

I'd say back up whatever you can and put on this site. Invite those who are passionate sega fans like us to join this forum.

From what I've seen over there the place is pretty toxic. Ownership is silent and little sketchy and while offers to buy it exist I'm not sure if those people would be any better
