trying to test Dreamcast with GDEMU before reinstalling the screws
It only asks for time and date (dead battery on controller board) and then into regular dash and when i hit play it says insert game disc
Should GDEMU Just launch directly? or needs SD card?

you dont have your sd card in the gdemu, or you havent formatted it. i only see that screen if i take the sd out and power up.

You need GDMENU to see a menu.

Re: Should GDEMU Just launch directly? or needs SD card?
thanks guys! figured there was more to it than just hooking up the hardware, or a random SD card for testing...
had a little panic tho
using that SD Card maker and filling it up, GDMENU is slot 1
1) if i want to add more titles, not an issue to go through some process or it has to add them all every time ?
I formatted my sd 128gb to FAT32
heres to hoping for the best
2) also - whats the best way to store the GDROM drive , the exposed laser specifically?
3) as far as multi disks, do i have to do anything in particular for that or SD card maker should take care of that too?
you guys are fast with responses, love it

if youre using the SD Card Maker, its as easy as popping the SD in ur pc and removing/adding the games you like, naming and arranging them then saving. less than 5 minutes any time you want to change stuff usually.
i put my gdrom in the bubble wrap envelope the gdemu came in and just stuck it in my game closet
i havent experienced multi disc yet.
