Re: Burning CDI's
Thanks Gary. I use 7zip exclusively. I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll try it again, making sure to not fiddle with DiscJugglers settings. I'm also going to try it with my other computer, perhaps the Liteon 20A1S in my HTPC is acting up. I'm also wondering if DaemonTools SPTI (there is some talk that it can) could be interferring with the burn, it's not installed on my main computer.

Re: Burning CDI's
Appears that the burner in my HTPC is shot, or at least can't burn a consistant CD-R. Burned Silent Scope in my main computer, and it worked right away. Did exactly the same on my HTPC and it showed up as an audio disc. 30 coasters later, but I'm glad I know the cause of my grief. Thanks Gary for trying out Silent Scope so I knew it was good, and for pointing out that the best settings with DJ are the bog standard ones.
Got a brand new Dreamcast coming, which I'll probably put in the closet until this one calves. Does anyone happen to know if these NIB Dreamcasts that mysteriously showed up in the world are capable of reading CDR's? I've heard differing stories. Also, light guns on HD TVS?

If I had one, I'd test it. Interesting thought...I know Wii games work with LCD TV's...interesting...

wii has a remote censer bar. as for HD tvs and the Dreamcast, it is a refresh problem. so some TVs might work while others might not. bring the console to the store and test it on any tv that you are planning to buy.Bob Dobbs wrote:If I had one, I'd test it. BTW Gains i can't help but wonder if you are hoping to use a light gun with Silent Scope? i hope not because Silent Scope is not a light gun game.

Already got a 61" HD TV, so too late to take it to the store

Re: Burning CDI's
yeah Silent Scope had a special gun. it was a lot like the one used on the operation wolf arcade if im not mistaken.
if i understand the HD issue correctly you will have problems with anything that is not a CRT. so its not really an HD problem but more of a LCD problem. i don't really understand how plasmas work as far as their refresh rates, so idk if they would work or not?
