Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows if any of the Road Rash or Carmageddon games made their way to the Dreamcast at any point? And if so, any links etc?
Many Thanks

No way sorry. I love both series and would love to play them on it. Bleem is the closest we will get, and I believe none of them were compatible with it. You could emulate the Genesis/Mega Drive version but that is not what you are wanting.

Well there's Vigilante 8, which is cars with guns and missiles like Twisted Metal. And then there's Demolition Racer, which has a focus on using your car to crash into other cars... but these are each a bit removed from Road Rash and Carmageddon and not as fun imo.

Both Carmageddon and Road Rash(95) run quite well speedwise but with some graphical glitches in Bleemcast/Bleemshell.
Road Rash has black menus so you've got to memorize which button combination will start a race. Pressing Start and A repeatedly after booting will start a single race on the first track.

I'm a huge Carmageddon one fan, but the PSX ports was really shitty.
The N64 version was a bit better but resembled C2.
Carmageddon heavily relies on X86 asm (and uses 80bit FPU instructions) and is therefore a very demanding game to run in Dosbox.
There was an attempt to make a modern port (using XNA) I believe through reverse engineering.
It's called OpenCarma.
But it's not complete and doesn't get the physics/collision detection right.
I was really hoping Stainless would release the C1/Splatpack sources some day, but they sold the rights to a third-party.
