Line Voltage Inducer Battery

How low does a 9V battery on a line voltage inducer have to be until it needs to bne replaced? The battery on mine is currently 8.2V and I'm having a hard time connecting to PSO, it takes a long time to load up the servers and even to send the username and password now, and sometimes I get a "Connection Attempt failed" message when it takes too long to send the username and password, I say that because I'm wondering if that has to do with the battery on the voltage inducer or if it's something else
