I really hope not it looks so small not even use-able it could be 3 x the size and be a mini micro compared to the real machine.. be nice if it was a re release proper gamegear with good battery life and nice screen

Of course they'll sell a magnifier for it cause the screen is so damn small that there's no way to probably comprehend what your seeing on the screen without it.

I really hope this is just a prelude to something else, cause if this is it....

I know everyone was getting excited hoping for a return to the hardware market. As stoked as I'd be for that, I knew that couldn't possibly be it.

I was thinking how bad ass it'd be for a piece of Sega hardware, with HDMI video output, that had a cart slot to play ALL cart based Sega systems, as well as a disc drive that played ALL Disc based Sega products, that also had internal storage so they could provide a digital storefront to sell tons of games online as well to give it a viable revenue stream to make some money. I think a product like that priced right would sell like crazy...instead....Game Gear Micro...

The “huge scoop” teased by Nishikawa is that Sega is doing research and development on “Fog Gaming,” a potential new game platform that could be utilized by Japanese arcades.

Fog Gaming would repurpose arcades across Japan as part of the cloud, as well as channel arcade game machines’ CPUs and GPUs, resulting in lower costs. This would provide ultra low latency, and the concept is similar to fog computing. Players would be able to enjoy high-quality games, and arcades would be able to make money even after business hours.
