Dreamcast doesn't read sonic adventure well

Hello. I just recently bought another dreamcast and I just bought a copy of sonic adventure. The DC loads all of my backup games and other games well but not sonic. It will only play it after I have played another game for a little bit. Its a revision 1 if that helps. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Thank you in advance:)
