This is a near Total Conversion of Quake that was originally released by a talented team of developers in 1997.
I've made a lot of mostly subtle changes to the game in order to improve it, including :
- Around 200 edits to entities, fixing bugs and improving gameplay
- Revisions to the artwork, correcting pixels and replacing more of Quake's leftover assets
The readme file lists the changes in a lot more detail and I've drafted up quite a long article that includes some comparison shots :

This project was challenging as I couldn't make any changes to the levels with a traditional level editor, so there was a lot of trial and error!
I worked on this for around 4-6 hours a week, for about 18 months.
Printable covers will be available at a later date.
The Makaqu engine was used for this release as I felt that it offered the most polished overall user experience, but Ian Micheal has since taken my feedback privately and has produced an absolutely fantastic build of RADQuake that I'm excited to share with you all soon. I'm also super excited to see nuQuake evolve.
Unfortunately, RGB Scart is not currently supported, and the game can run out of memory and crash during longer playthroughs (or lots of deaths).
A huge thank you to everyone that has supported this project. I really hope that you enjoy the game and it certainly wont be my last for the system!
