Sorry, NeoSnk, but for many years I have seen interviews and this community wanted to know that answer but no one has asked him nor even theorized the answer that we were given by Rand.NeoSnk wrote:I'm sad you said I'm one of the "wrong people" LoL. You could be more polite next time ;

I didn't know Sony keep the bleem source code...
Hope now someone can extract the bleem! from 3 original games like @deluxux said.

Well that is what japanese_cake has been planning to do for the past 2 years now. I actually spoke to him today asking about any updates, the quick answer is he wants to get it out but he still needs to clean up the code due to some dirty hacks he made to get it all working.fafadou wrote:I didn't know Sony keep the bleem source code...

This is great news, if we get the 3 final bleems working on GDEMU or DreamShell much more people could enjoy it.Anthony817 wrote:Well that is what japanese_cake has been planning to do for the past 2 years now. Re: Interview with Bleem! developer Randy Linden.
Yeah, but not only that, but the ability to add these 3 new emulators to Bleemshell as emulator cores for even better compatibility. So many games were working better with the versions hacked to skip disc check, but the problem is those 3 versions of the emulator were VERY difficult to burn working versions. Even a pro like myself at burning stuff like rare 99 minute discs of Dreamcast games had to burn over 20 copies of the Tekken 3 disc just to find the correct settings. It would not correctly burn with anything but DisJuggler and some very specific settings. Hell even the 2009 cracked Bleem version worked better for most people than the 2011 disc check hacked version.
So that is really what I have been waiting for this version from JC, so I can resume testing of games that work with the retail emulator code. The community over at TIZ really came together to help me with my compatibility list I started. Only thing that still never worked from those games compatible with the retails on the disc check hack version, was still saves. I asked JC about this today though, so maybe he can figure out how to get other games saving finally:? I mean hell, FMV's and analog controls were working with all the other games that booted from the retails.
Here you can actually see the retail emulator loading up other games.
Again here is the internet archive link of my compatibility list I started for the retails if anybody would like to look it over, hopefully we can eventually revive the list and build upon it and we can have a more up to date compatibility list. I am sure there are hundreds of games we can get working even better than they did with the beta bleem.
http://web.archive.org/web/201808162256 ... =27&t=3665
Here was also the now defunct upload page, a lot of info on the settings to burn them at to get working can be found there.
https://web.archive.org/web/20180816200 ... isc-check/
And, of course for anybody that wants to give these special retail versions a try, you are welcome to get them from here. The cd check fix is the one to download.

So for me, even though we will never get the source code, Bleem is still full of surprises and we may even get saves working some day with the other games we get booting from the retail emulator code. I remain overly optimistic.

It's great japanese_cake answered.
And it's a good new to learn he is very close to a release.
I really want to know how we could give to him some time ^^
