I'm from Canada (Alberta) and got myself a GDEMU after my laser on my dreamcast died and wow this opened up a whole new door for me. Then I found this channel and now i'm really pumped to get my dreamcast online and start playing! This is going to be a fun Covid winter. Still a lot of learning to be done, still need to figure out how to get roms and how to get online and open specific ports but i'm ready for the fun.....hopefully I'll be battling with you all shortly online....

All you really need is a $10 Dell/Lenovo USB fax/voice modem and a Line voltage inducer and a computer, You can use a Pi an old celeron beater netbook or a normal windows desktop.
The EZ-PZ, no fuss no trouble way is to buy a Dreampi Kit from Dreamcastlive.net/shop plug it in, setup the wifi + router settings and Jam!

Winter is comming so you better prepare by getting your dreamcast online and start having fun with us.
You should check the discord channel (the link is on the top right side of this forum) there you can ask short questions about getting online or arranging game sesions once you have everything set.
I personally don't have a GDEMU, but you are right, there is a loooooot of things you can do with it and this is a paradise of resurces for that and specially for asking questions about it too. I'm thinking on getting another dreamcast to have one with discs and another one with the GDEMU.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving if you celebrate it in your Province (for the USA members who may not know, it is not a National holiday in Canada like it is in the USA.
