Napple Tale finnicky disc

Hello! fired up Napple tale the other day, played through the tutorial and had a great time. Went to fire it up today and cannot get the disc to read, using a burned cd-r with the english translation cdi file... rebooted many times and even burned another disc to try out. I checked my other burned games and they all boot up fine... wondering if anyone else has this issue? Might just end up buying a GDEmu at some point

Maybe burn a new disc.
Else you can adjust your laser potentiometer.
