I thought Id add some Easter eggs for the squad lol.

Random note, Im unable to change the text on that screen.
The current solution was to plater the name and length on the main image, but I remember people can patch gameshark codes ect into the binary, I wonder how easy it would be to hack in the names?
I have no idea where id start lol.

This is just a quick heads up to say iv not vanished completely again. As with most modding quests, real life can get in the way.

The second track iv been teasing is more of a handful than you would expect. Its one of the more graphically intense custom maps for the PC, so its taking quite a bit of work to keep the frame rate acceptable throughout, but having good success.

Been making such efforts to reduce polygons on models and going over kill on optimization (revolt has a system in its map editor to unload map geometry depending on your location)

I'll also probably make this mod more focused on track replacement as that is quite allot already, replacing all the cars and testing for frame issues on each map might kill me haha.

I decided to take a dive back into this with some free time.
I discovered how to change track names, its hard-coded into the 1st_read.

but then, i dig into my Revolt mod folder to get to work and find out.... iv lost most of the work!
Hours and hours wasted.

Thankfully, I still have the PC version work for the Petrol station map, so I just need to rename some files and remake the textures.

But the second level I was working on seems to be gone... but frankly It was rather laggy no matter how much work I did so I guess its not too bad.

Honestly as a project its pretty huge for one person, I may just have to release a proof of concept + everything i learned., its been 6 years already.
