FFS! I missed this line from the first Metal Slug 6 post "For official GDEMU with new software need add "image_tests=0" in your gdemu.ini"

Oh well, working now.

Thanks for your hard work!

@esppiral there is a very little glitch with widescreen hack 16/9. When you select the car the shadow is still in 4/3.
Don't know if you can fix it.

Else fantastic job ! Widescreen hack is perfect in game !
I love this game, fun beautiful and faster than speed, yeah !

Exactly why I was going to post, this game is running on the Sega GT engine I am sure, as you mentioned, sound, lightning and physics behave very similar, even I ported the 60 fps hack from Sega GT since it uses the same values, I don't think this games squeezes the potential of the console like Sega GT.
Is the 60fps hack available as a hex patch? (Also interested in the one for Sega GT / Sega GT Homologation Special !)

dark wrote:Awesome! It's cool to have another game, particularly a 3d one, that appears to push the DC hardware. It gives a small glimpse into what the dreamcast could have been like if commercial games like this continued to be made into 2k4/2k5 (yeah yeah I know there were a handful of commercial DC games still coming out that late, but no big budget racing games like this).

I think the arcade version can link multiple cabinets, someone said the atomiswave lan adapter is essentially the same as the DC's BBA. Wonder if this game could be played via link cable/lan with multiple copies of the game and multiple BBA equipped dreamcasts.

Now we need the guy with the Chicago 1929 prototype to come forward and share
The AW converts for NAOMI contain the whole decrypted rom, in fact I suspect these are the original materials used to create those Dreamcast converts, after all, decrypting an atomiswave rom can be quite the hassle.

decryption of rom is the simplest, I don't see any problems
even without knowing the ROM KEY it will not take much time, it will take several minutes to decrypt along with a brute force
