I believe the BEAR NullDC emulator allows you to download a version of NGBC for Atomiswave that has the characters unlocked - if anyone knows how to poke around in the files for that version you may be able to find those values.bumfacekilla wrote:Unlocking the extra characters should be relatively simple with a hex editor. The game will unlock the extra characters automatically after 60 days play, if it is possible to find where that value is stored it should be easy enough to edit it. I can use a hex editor, but finding that value is way beyond my skills, haha.

Re: Neogeo Battle Coliseum
Have you tried placing the Code Breaker above the NGBC game in your file tree? A while back I've been told in order to put codes into the GDEMU using Game Sharks and Code Breakers you need to put whatever game you want to inject codes in just below the game enhancer! I tried it with MvC1 and a couple of other games and it worked.stranno wrote:Hey @Esppiral. I have tried your ws cheat and I get either white screen or slightly corrupted screen. Can you double check it?
Thank you.
Hope this helps with Battle Coliseum.

Hi all,
Tested this one some more and got two lock ups. the 1st lock up happened before a match started; 2nd lock up happened after the continue service screen.

This one freezes for me. I only played it for a short while to test it out and it hung on the attract mode.
This was on my PAL Dreamcast with clone GDEMU.

Letting you know I tried this code using the Code Breaker and got the exact same result a hung or white screen. Little did I suspect I misread both posts turns out you need an Action Replay CDX not a Code Breaker (weird how both Game Enhancers share the same lengths for code lines. That also threw me off).Esppiral wrote:Thanks Megavolt!
Action Replay widescreen code. (If anyone can convert it to an hex patch I would appreciate it)
I do have an Action Replay cdi that boots from the GDEMU but it won't allow me to add cheats. Only use the few that were pre-loaded into the disc image. I'm not 100% sure but like the Gameshark, it might need the proprietary Action Replay CDX memory card in order for me to add new code. Bummer if true.
A work around for the NGBC widescreen is someone patching it into the ISO. Perhaps one day we shall see. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yeah, AFAIK that custom Code Breaker was the only one that worked on GDemu, that's why I used it. I thought it was fully compatible with Action Replay.

Yeah, the Gameshark DEFINIETLY works too but it requires the proprietary Gameshark memory card. I would assume it's the same for the Action Replay CDX. The way you handle codes with the Gameshark and GDEMU is so long as you're using that card all you need to do make or locate a disc image out of the original CD then it will load perfectly. The way you activate cheats for games you just place the Gameshark folder before whatever game you want to apply cheats in. Say for instance I wanted codes for Marvel Vs Capcom I would simply put the Gameshark in a random folder, let's say it's folder 14, then place MvC in folder 15 and assign whatever codes I want for that game then start game. The Gamehshark always picks the file below so long as it's working.stranno wrote:Yeah, AFAIK that custom Code Breaker was the only one that worked on GDemu, that's why I used it. There may be a way to hack ones memory card to implement the Action Replay save ability. This is needed in order to use cheats. I have no such expertise but in theory that would work around our current dilemma. Btw up until now I had no idea the Code Breaker was the only game enhancer that let's you manually select files on the GDEMU! Coolzville. Fair warning though for anyone who wants to rely on the Code Breaker. Use only 1 memory card or mega memory card partition dedicated to that! The reason why is the thing compromises gamesave if you place any CB save in the same partition as all your normal saves.
I use a mega memory card plus so what I do is simply keep all my normal saves on partitions 1-7 and the 8th partition is dedicated only to the code breaker.
