Hey guys, just wanted to know what the best vga adapter / box is. I want to have both the 'cast and my computer hooked up at the same time, and pump the sound through my pc speakers (self amplified) for sound. Could I go to radio shack and make one myself for a reasonable price? Someone once said the 'german' one had problems... not sure what to do...

Re: Dreamcast VGA
Well, from what I am reading, you will need:
1. One 2x1 VGA switcher.
2. One 3.5mm stereo "Y" adapter.
3. One Dreamcast VGA adapter/box.
I have one for my Dreamcast and it works perfectly.

I made my own - I done the internal VGA mod.
Awesome picture although I wouldnt attempt it if you arn't confident with a soldering iron.

Works great, and has a 3.5mm jack for pc audio.
I use this with a 37" 1080p TV and logitech z5500 surround sound (although obviously the DC is stereo only).

Re: Dreamcast VGA
Thanks for the link, I think I will pick one of these up, although the cable doesn't seem very long...

Re: Dreamcast VGA
You need a vga cable also, it has a female vga connector. So you need a regular vga with male on both ends. But you can get however long of a vga cable you want, which is cool
