Need Technical Help For Scrambled/Encrypted Binaries!

Post by mrneo240 »

Hello!

I am looking for people with technical knowledge people in order to help figure out how this binary is scrambled and also how to un-scramble it back to normal.

It comes from the Mil-CDs and is exactly the same on every disc.
Included is the original file as present on the disc and a unscrambled version.

What needs to be done to the scrambled one to unscramble? and how can an unscrambled one be re-scrambled?

Thank you very much for looking and reading

I believe this is what you're looking for: http://mc.pp.se/dc/files/scramble.c

Precompiled .exe: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10BZH5S ... sp=sharing

Usage:
scramble <unscrambled.bin> <scrambled.bin>
scramble -d <scrambled.bin> <unscrambled.bin>

Let me know if it works out for you!

EDIT: There's also a GUI for this which will also check the state of the binary (scrambled/unscrambled). It can be found here: https://github.com/sizious/binary-checker

im curious about 1milsfd.bin and 2milpass.bin also the passport folder.
if the 2 bin's could be modded you might be able to use them with ginsu or w/e?
adding the official mil-cd video player would be cool.

We spoke on discord, but for future readers of this thread. This is not that, but i do think in the end it may be similar to that.

Thank you for the offer of support!
