Yeah, and also since the PS2 port of the game is running on an almost 300mhz processor it seems to at least be doable with the right optimizations. Graphically I don't think it is anywhere outside of the capability of the DC. Quake 3 Arena already looks quite good on the console and it being same Id Tech 3 engine it seems like it should be able to theoretically handle it at least.
I think even Chui, Override and others working on that Dreamplaces port thought so too initially at least otherwise they wouldn't have started on trying to port it over with that. A shame it was never finished but something must have come up to prevent it from being at least continued.
