Gunbird 2 and forcing VGA with DChdmi+MODE

Post by fraggle200 »

After getting Gunbird 2 from the USA/Pal thread that dubcity has been putting together it failed to boot when forced to VGA so I tried setting the DChdmi to the cable swap option and it still won't boot as it detected the VGA.

I'm running this from a MODE so I can't force VGA in the GDEmu. Anyone been able to get Gunbird 2 working on DChdmi and MODE in VGA?

If so, how?

you tried both versions? USA and PAL? You shouldn't have to force them. this would be the first problem we've run into with mode. Do you have room on vmu when you start it up?

I tried both just in case I was going a bit mad and they both ended up with the wrong cable message.

I'd initially thought the Gunbird 2 d/l was in the wrong thread and should have been in the Non-VGA one but after looking into it, even though it doesn't support VGA out the box, you can force it into VGA or even use the cable swap to get it to VGA as well.

As I was typing this I realised that I wasn't 100% if I could force VGA in the MODE menu or not, when I know you can in GDEmu. Turns out I had it set to off. switched it on and HEY PRESTO! it's fine. Hadn't even occurred to check it cos I'm sure I'd set it to Yes when I first got it but it may have been knocked out with the fw upgrade on it.
