Updated file with everything. Correct memory settings, artwork, and game folders. Dreamcast Atomiswave SD serial port pack. Just extract all folders directly to the main/root directory of a fat32 formatted SD card. https://mega.nz/file/5ZoWhIJb#8CClIKnha ... JjTybEr8SU
Serial Port Boot disc required if you don't have one. https://mega.nz/file/tYACBJwZ#pHOfzz2If ... BHuh8eRe-o
Also, pretty sure I found a better memory setting for Metal Slug 6
(0X8CFF4800). This is also the correct memory setting for Fist of the North Star(Hokuto no Ken).
Here is what I've been doing to try and find the best memory settings possible for the serial Port SD adapter. Simply let whatever game you are testing run through the demo, high score list, back to the title screen, etc...multiple times.
If the game can go through its demo with this cycle two or three times in a row without the game locking up or restarting the system, then you've probably got the correct memory setting.
The Atomiswave games DOES work on the serial port.

I second that notion. I can't even get into the OSDuoGhost420 wrote:im still having issues with these games and dreamshell

It only gives me the "Boot from RAM/SD/CD" etc options.
Is this one of those cases where its a crapshoot on your SD card brand?

I found my issue...
The included disc was junk. I tried downloading a .cdi image and burned it onto a CD-R.
Tried Maximum Speed and my ASYNC is 16.
Works like a charm!!

Re: The Atomiswave games DOES work on the serial port.
Which brings me to phase 2: How to get Retrodream running?
So I have a working copy of Dreamshell now, but from what I read Retrodream has better compatibility.
I burned a copy of DreamShell 4.0 RC 4 + Boot Loader but it gives me the "Boot from HD/CD/SD" like the included disc.
Am I missing an important file which prevents it from booting up?
---
UPDATE: I got Retrodream running! All I had to do was move the DS folder to the main directory... I didn't realize it was that obvious.
