I don't hear my modem screeching, nothing happens... Have you an idea ? I think my modem don't detect the silence over the line, so it can't cherch the <h10>s line in Unimodem Responses... How to fix it ? For those who have succeeded with XP, have you had this problem?
At what point do we start the connection with the dreamcast?
Thank you for your help !
PS : Sorry if I don't speak english very well, i'm French :p

as if anyone here has got XP to work. maybe someone has? as far as i know only linux and windows 98 have worked for the people here and that includes me. when i tried XP the shit failed. i used much of the same equipment for both to. the main thing that was different was the operating system.
Linux & Windows 98 is the only thing that will work...

Re: Need help for a PC-DC server with Windows XP !
Ok, my Win89SE PC-DC server lived many years ago. My problem was that unlike anything else I ever upgrades, I installed Windows XP over the Win98SE box. Everything worked, drivers, programs, internet....except for my PC-DC Server. I never thought about the fact that XP Pro (yes, Pro) would have lees horsepower than the Win98SE box regarding Dial-Up networking. I cried like Eric Lindros or T.O. after his QB was criticized (not really, but this is good drama).
So about ayear and a half ago, I tried Win2000. FAILURE! Once again, the lack of dial-up networking. I tried WinME...mega failure because of the operating system's unstable handling of win modems and drivers in general.
Conclusion; the only software left to do is to redo Win98SE - if I can find it. I found everything but that. This includes my copy of Win NT4.0 and Win2000 Server. I may try Win2000 Server first...just to do it. Please stop me if you think this is a bad idea.

i think Win2000 Server is worth a try. i have not heard one way or the other on it. at the least we can rule it out as a valid option

I hope you mean Win98 SE...right?
As far as the version of the guide you are using, it is not as spelled out as the one on OC from what I can remember.
