I don't know much about the process, but is there a reason why the ports require loading the entire rom file? I'd have thought that a full decompilation would allow for individual assets to be extracted (maps, textures, sounds, models) and used where needed, requiring much less memory overhead. Not a direct comparison, but the 64DD version of Super Mario 64 uses loading breaks as opposed to copying the whole game into memory on boot.

I have been able to check out the scene with the little free time that I have and I must say finding this port was a gem for sure. I put together covers for my appreciation. Thanks for keeping the Dreamcast thinkin`.

The cdi port that I grabbed is dated 10/24/2020. By default there's sound with lagging, however when pressing all 4 of the face buttons, the sound is disabled and the game runs at full speed from a disc. I checked out the SM64DC GitHub but compiling a fresh cdi seems a little tricky.

No problem with framerate it's sound system .. 100% speed with out sound

Is the 10/24/2020 cdi the most current version? I checked out the SM64DC GitHub but compiling a fresh cdi seems a little tricky.

Thanks again, and if I do not have the latest version, if someone could upload a burnable cdi or shoot me a link to it that would be great.

what is this crap ? this is Not mrneo240 port it's 640x480 fullspeed with out sound

This is most certainly not the port you want, but please tell us where you got this anyway. Perhaps we can use this engine for Dreamcast homebrew. ;)

I was talking about the box art....

Alternate reality where Nintendo loses and M64 gets ported to DC, instead of Sonic Adventure being ported to GameCube
