Hi,
Ive just bought a new dreamcast as i missed all the games that were so amazing. However i'm having problems, it came with an RF lead and i set it all up, some of the games work in the correct colour but some wont, but in an old TV all the games work fine.
Do i need i new cable? (I'm not sure because some of the games work fine) if so what type do i need?
Plz help

Re: LCD HTDV, PLEASE HELP
your best option is probably going to be a VGA box/cord. check ebay for one, they don't cost much for the cheap one.

Re: LCD HTDV, PLEASE HELP
will any of the other cable types work ok? like the RGB, scart or s-video cables, because the VGA cables are £30+ on amazon and ebay and its fairly expensive considering thats how much the dreamcadt cost. I dont mind if its not an amazing picture, just want it to run the games in their propor colours.

Re: LCD HTDV, PLEASE HELP
any cord with better color will help but none are as good as the VGA. you may as well save your self some time and money and just buy the VGA box. btw the cable you have should have the proper colors. i would be checking my tv to see if it is busted. the games would have input lag, be stretched and might be washed out a bit but, the color should be ok.

Re: LCD HTDV, PLEASE HELP
the VGA box basically doubles the image data each time the image refreshes. this makes for a much better picture and it improves the color. the normal A/V cable only outputs 480i and the VGA box bumps this up to 480p. so if you have a HD tv the only real option would be VGA.
bellow is a video explaining 480i (interlaced) and 480p (progressive) scans.
