Dreamcast Mil-CD's

Post by killer-elite »

I ended up tracking down two Dreamcast Mil-Cd's and at first I was really nervous cause they didn't boot in my NTSC/U Dreamcast Console...I ended up burning a Codebreaker Boot disk and now they seem to work. Kinda crazy that you could watch video on DC like a DVD... I CD's I ended finding are Heartbreak Diary by DPS and Space Channel 5 Ulala The Movie - Demo disk. Both were used but the Space Channel 5 one arrived in a loose disk being the case its in is a not so solid kind that is easily knocked out which cause a couple of small scratches I assume from shipping. The Heartbreak Diary has a music video on it... only one song with video and options to control the video (play/pause/foward/back,ect.) and a internet option (I guessing for the groups website). The Space Channel 5 one I hear is very rare and was a promo disk from Famitsu that was won from a lottery, it had a demo video of the game in action with one of the songs on the cd playing on the background. Both cd's had a couple of tracks on them but being they also had videos im guessing that made it so you could't have a bunch of stuff on it being everything was shared and split into sections on the cd's. I want to try to collect all the Mil-Cd's listed on sega retro website but have my doubts being I saw a D2 Soundtrack one being sold for a insane amount of mula...maybe one day

Dang that pretty slick...I want to make some custom videos now...I wonder how long of a video can be fit on a 700mb video and what settings to use to get the most out of the DC...pretty neat Thanks for the heads up...this seems like a better video option then the ones this one guy on facebook uploads without video controls that just boot from beginning to end and run on the DC mpeg video format? It's been awhile and I need to check out his page he uploads a bunch of modern videos that can be burned to CD-R and played on Dreamcast... kinda a waste of CD-R's but its kinda trip using the DC for video applications

It has no chapters or pause or play buttons on sfd katana example just plays from start to complete ..

Why this above is the most advanced in function and qualty
