It's pretty cool to see new Dreamcast games coming back online, I hope Bomberman Online can be next soon, it's one of the games that stand out to me the most on the Dreamcast.

Hello OlivusPrime!
Same here, fails selecting the server.
Yesterday and this morning worked. Well, this morning I started a race with Dingo but at few seconds we received a "Server error" during race and that was all.

Maybe server is at maintenance or updating now.

Yesterday a 1 vs 1 races worked very fine, better that I expected and I'm so happy to play this online. Thanks again to everyone that was involved in this great job.

:-)

Update about yesterday error: Dreampi 1.8 DLE works very fine on RPI 1,2 or 3. I only needed to update the firmware. Don't know why but that worked.
I let Ion know about server, looks like its down at the moment

The lobby server seems to have a bug somewhere causing crashes heh. As a stop gap I will add a cronjob to check if the server is up every 6h and restart if it's down. Sorry about that; this is the first mass test.

Words from pcwrzd "Some games may require port forwarding or DMZ in order to play a game once connected. To set up DMZ on your router, go to your router’s configuration page, find the DMZ setting, and input the IP address of your Dreamcast. The IP address of your Dreamcast will be the same as the IP of your router except for the digits after the last period which will normally be 98 (e.g. If your router’s IP address is 192.168.1.1 then the Dreamcast would be 192.168.1.98".

In my rare case I had to set up port forwarding

Here is PC's own website for more info: https://dreamcastlive.net/connection-guide/

Good news folks! After some experimentation with Jako/Brandon. We found out you can simply back out to "Please select server" screen.

For clarification... :

Exit Lobby all the way to this screen after each race. No need to disconnect if you do this.

FYI: If you exit lobby to this screen below and are wondering how to get back to server select Press B and it will return you to server screen as seen above.

Congrats on everyone for the hard work, did three races and is a dream come true of mine!

Not sure if this helps at all with bugs, but of the two times i got disconnected, at the end of race (after disconnecting from the server and hoping back in to avoid 2 race bug) it crashed and crashed hard, unlike the other times it happened, this crash locked the game at the results of time menu, and after 5-10 minutes never left this soft lock without a hard shut down, hopefully this helps.

Amazing work again :D
