Cyrille Fontaine, one of the creators of the Nightmare Creatures franchise, takes us behind the scenes of the development of Nigthmare Creatures 1 and 2 (interview). Several Dreamcast prototypes of Nigthmare Creatures 2 are also available for download.

Exclusive footage of a Technical Demo of Farnation on Dreamcast, the most mysterious Unreleased game of SEGA's last console. After 23 years of waiting and investigation, we can finally put some images on this MMO from Japanese development studio Nextech!

Thanks to Joe Cain for his testimonial and for giving us the gift of a Farnation Dreamcast video! Finally...

Wow you did the impossible and found farnation. That's crazy. It's probably one of the rarest things.

2 years ago, someone contacted me on Twitter to tell me that a friend of his owned Farnation. He said he was going to send me some photos. Meanwhile, another person posted photos of the protoype on Reddit. In January of this year, the first person sent me 2 photos of the game and said he was going to make some videos. I almost waited 1 year to get some photos :)

My article had been ready since the end of January, I had to wait for his videos :)

All credit for the discovery goes to Joe Cain and his friend, who wishes to remain anonymous.

One of the 5 new photos he sent me on Monday:

Yes, the most interesting one, with the video of the game's boot-up sequence (title screen and copyright). By the way, do you know Red Company?

I don't know if they still go by that name but they own Sakura wars franchise, they are a media company that uses to team up with Sega.

Some additional information that I would not update on my article:

-When you enter a building, there's a loading time
-The game seems to be more of a Vertical Slice than a technical demo, as demonstrated by certain menus such as the chat system.
-There are no NPCs, maybe they're there in a specific code to be entered in the level selector at the beginning (example 1= empty world, 2= map with npcs, you'd have to see the game textures too).
-In the textures viewer video, I noticed textures for explosion or magic effects.

"But for the game to enter US QA means it had to be beyond a certain point in development, they wouldn't waste resources on just a demo or a game they didn't think was going to be completed sooner than later"

-When I try to play online, I get the message "network not available".
-They didn't think to check if the VMU was in use (game-specific memory card screen).

The scenarios seem to be very broad.
