Anywhere that does the 32mb ram upgrade

Does anyone know of anywhere or anyone that would do the 32mb ram upgrade.

I have seen guides on how to and I know I could technically do with soldering wise but I would almost rather pay someone to do it as a switch able mod as I cannot program the bios

I'll ask around. I am a developer who was in the same boat and paid someone in the community to do both mods for my dev Dreamcast, and it was worth every single penny I invested into it and then some... I do the easy mods myself, but these were way too much for me to risk ruining a DC over. lol.

Yeah I have overclocked Dreamcasts etc but am not to keen on attempting this myself. I would like it switchable too.

Sorry for hijacking this topic, but I'm also interested in the 32mb mod.
It's basically the final mod for my dc.

However I've read that there were some compatibility problems with certain games, I believe those with SFD videos?

Could somebody confirm the latest status on this?
And if these problems are still there, would it be possible to fix it by further patching the bios?

I've done several of these. I've planned on modding and selling off at least four va1 motherboards with 32MB expansion + dual BIOS mod. I don't yet know how much I'll charge though. Waiting for those motherboards I purchased to arrive and test to make sure they work and all that first.

Sofdec videos and Windows CE games do hang/crash the system. Because of this, this should be considered a mod only for a dedicated development system at this time. I've never had a problem using 32MB for KallistiOS development. Since we don't know what causes the problem, I can't predict if a BIOS patch would fix it. But at boot the BIOS changes SH4 registers related to RAM timings and parameters and it's possible adjusting these would fix the problem, but I haven't seen any obvious parameter that would cause this problem.

It's possible but someone would need to make something to easily switch 4 pins on the RAM (2 per chip), and between BIOSs since the BIOS needs to be modified for 32MB and the modified BIOS can't be used on 16MB. Since I use two different BIOSs regularly, in my particular situation I'd need a quad BIOS for this. For me I have a dozen or so Dreamcast consoles so I just keep a dedicated one for 32MB stuff.
