Retro Game Designer is a Windows & Linux compatible software allowing you to create video games and export them to be playable on several retro consoles, including the Sega Dreamcast, Sega Genesis / Megadrive, Gameboy Advance, Playstation 1 and Atari Jaguar.

This tool uses a very simple user-friendly graphic interface allowing you to import assets such as background images, sprite sheets, tile maps, musics, sfx and combine these together into a game, export this game to a ROM file or CD ISO so you can play it on your real retro hardware using a flash cart, a CD emulator or a CD-R.

Multiples game engines will be available depending on the goal reached by the Kickstarter campaign.
An Adventure game engine, a platformer game engine, a Shoot'em Up game engine, an RPG game engine and even a 3D game engine (Targeted at PlayStation 1 and Dreamcast only)

Support the project on KickStarter !

Yo,
Really nice you moved forward with your game editor idea !
Though i will admit, i'm not sure there's a lot of demand for this. Maybe this would be a different story if there was SNES and N64 support but cannot say for sure (i think you could skip PS1 and Jaguar, tho i know you're more familiar with these :P). I think setting the first stretch goal for the adventure engine was a mistake (In my opinion, it should have been the platformer one instead) but let's see if people fund this.
