Codebreaker all cheats save file available to download *UPDATED 2025-04-24*

This cheat file is designed to complement the cheats that are already built into Codebreaker but if OpenMenu uses my cheats file exclusively (my DC has a MODE so I have no way of checking this), then my guess is that existing cheats for games like NFL Blitz 2001 and HOTD2 will be missing.

I could probably combine my cheats file with the ones built into Codebreaker but that would then leave a lot of duplicates in Codebreaker and would also probably not fit on a VMU either.

I don't use a VMU, I am using a GDEMU. It wouldn't matter if it fit onto a VMU (for me at least). If you could combine them, I'd appreciate it. I don't care if there's duplicates.

Now I'm confused. @megavolt85 does the latest openMenu RC use the FCDCHEATS.bin file exclusively? Or are the original built-in cheats also available? I understand a single cheat bin addressed by its serial number can also be used.

yep, FCDCHEATS.bin only.
Alas, this is the price for refusing the storage of a file with codes on VMU and I think this is an acceptable exchange, you just need to add the rest of the codes to the FCDCheats file

So, if we delete the FCDCHEATS.bin file and create a new openMenu build, will we have Codebreaker back with just the built-in codes? Or would that require changes to the openMenu code?

Here's an update (version 2.0 - *LINK DELETED*) of the cheats file which contains all existing cheats from my FCDCHEATS file, all codes built into Codebreaker and many new codes that have been released throughout 2024 on Gamehacking.org. It's double the size of the previous version (1.2) of my FCDCHEATS file so won't fit on a VMU but should provide a one-stop shop for all Dreamcast cheats if added to OpenMenu.

@megavolt85 could you add this and test whether it works please?

I'm open to suggestions about how to make this available for non-OpenMenu users. Currently, the only way I can think to do it would be to remove the built-in Codebreaker cheats so that the FCDCHEATS file fits on a VMU. The ideal solution would be to hack the Codebreaker image so that it contains all the cheats from this new version of the cheats file which would do away with the VMU requirement altogether. According to this Reddit topic, that may not be possible though?

I gave the cheat file a quick test in openMenu. Codebreaker is reporting the following...

...does this sound accurate? Browsing through the list, I do not see any duplicate entries.

ateam I think that's the count when load VMU I will verify tomorrow!

EDIT: v1.2 save file says 387 games 4,366 cheats but that's with CBLoader+CB disc

Oh Alone In The Dark 4 I deleted cuz I finished it and sad PS1 is definitive cuz audio. And avoid PS2 even more dogshit and hard freeze every camera

I've updated the cheats file to version 2.5, which contains all known Dreamcast cheats (within the parameters set out in the OP) as of 2024-11-12.

However, version 2.5 is far too big for a VMU and will only work with openMenu - anyone requiring a version of the file that will fit on a VMU will need to use version 1.2 and add or remove any required cheats themselves.
