Issue updating Retro fighter Striker DC dongle firmware

Post by B88BLe »

Hi, Anybody tried updating the firmware on the Retro Fighter Striker DC dongle? I was informed a firmware update is needed to make third party VMU's work. I have the update .exe and update files but I'm not able to select my dongle from the drop down list, it's just blank. I'm holding start before plugging in my USB and have tried 3 cables and windows 10 & 11 with no luck. Anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong?]

RESOLVED*
Contacted Retro Fighter direct and it turns out its a problem with the hardware. They are shipping a replacement dongle. Confirmed with RF that 4x VMU's only work on updated dongles!

Retro fighters released 1 update to make sega brand 4x cards work but no third party memory card works and retro fighters has given up on any new updates, it’s been over a year since they said they just couldn’t do it
