Hey! i just installed the last update to my VM2. So far so good.

This functionality for me its a little buggy

Code: Select all

> SD Explorer : pressing MODE on the uSD root (".." highlighted) will toggle the GameID folders visibility.
When i press the MODE button (positioned in the ".." ) i dont see any differences in the Folder explorer.

And this is for GIDXXXX folders that are created by the new feature that supports game ID outside of openMenu? That's what it's referring to.

Wanted to let everyone know that that VM2 is currently on sale for €80, which is a €40 reduction in price!

As stated on the website, this pre-order batch is expected to ship in Q2 of 2025.

Confirming this does not work on a 10% overclock console? I want to take advantage of the sale, but my daily driver Dreamcast is overclocked.

Or, any way to mod it to get it to work?

No, it does not.

Also, why bother with this overclock considering how many things it can break?

100% stability for me. Why, what can break?

You've played every game with it? IIRC, it's been discussed here over the years and people have reported crashes with certain games. Was able to find two threads where it was briefly mentioned, but I thought I remember seeing more detail in the past.

Also, do you use an ODE? If so, which one? Curious, as I seem recall issues there at one point (though don't quote me on that one, haha).

In the end, do what makes you happy, and what gives you enjoyment from our beloved machine :)

Ah! Those threads appear to be discussing the 20% oc. I was referring to the 'mild' 10% oc.

I also have a DC that has the 20% oc. It is is definitely NOT worth it. But works great with the Atomiswave ports, which is pretty cool.
