I also have a DC that has the 20% oc. It is is definitely NOT worth it. But works great with the Atomiswave ports, which is pretty cool.
Interesting! TIL.

Are you referring to this overclock?

Code: Select all

Both overclock mods (10% and 20%) do introduce various issues and glitches - especially with games that had frame limiter unlocked. The most usual glitch is the A-SYNC between graphics and sound, with games that were using cutscenes with in-game graphics.
As an example, take a look at Tomb Raider series, Half-Life, Omikron, etc. : you will find out that both overclock mods mess the intro (or any other cutscene) with the graphics running ahead and sound coming later!
Generally, Sega opted for the CPU to run at 200MHz and developers based on this. Overclocking gives more issues than benefits...

Interesting I'll keep an eye out for glitches. I have like a hundred hours of gaming so far and haven't noticed anything negative yet.

Do you have any examples where there are issues from the 10% mod and is the VMU2 compatible?

I have been contemplating doing the 10% mod and don't know whether to butcher another Dreamcast. I currently have two overclocked at 240MHz, one I did myself and one I think I recall purchasing from you. This mod definitely has benefits and too many other issues!

I was hoping maybe it worked with the mild oc, or if It was just a small fix. Doesn't look possible. Still a great product, just not for me right now.

Does anyone have a list of Game IDs so that I can create the correct folders manually on the microSD card and move my existing saves into them without having to play through to the first save point in the game again? This is a list of the IDs I've got so far:

GID016 - Cannon Spike
GID019 - Centipede
GID023 - ChuChu Rocket
GID027 - Crazy Taxi
GID028 - Crazy Taxi 2
GID038 - Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers
GID045 - Elemental Gimmick Gear
GID121 - Power Stone
GID154 - Silver
GID155 - Skies of Arcadia
GID157 - Sonic Adventure
GID158 - Sonic Adventure 2
GID160 - Soul Calibur
GID164 - Space Channel 5
GID203 - Toy Commander
GID205 - Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue
GID215 - Virtua Striker 2
GID216 - Virtua Tennis
GID217 - Virtua Tennis 2
GID323 - Ikaruga

And I'd like the IDs for these titles please (I know that some of them are 'unofficial' titles and are unlikely to have IDs):

Codebreaker
Cosmic Smash
Incoming
Record of Lodoss War
Sakura Wars Columns 2
Zombie Revenge
