I think there dc is too little memory for CS1.6, it is not possible on real hardware with 16 MB of memory
I have a demo for CS 1.6 and it runs on 16 MB, but CT and T models had to be replaced to hostage model, because each model of CT and T is about of 2 mb of RAM.
but for online cs you need at least 10-12 players, how are you going to implement this with 16 MB of RAM? , you need to optimize the sourcecode very well, and the game resources: textures, models, sounds and optimization Xash engine... 🙄
People were saying for 20 years that GTA3 is not possible on DC. Will see :) Everything can be compressed, textures are can be VQ, sounds are ADPCM, etc. There's still a lot of more to be gained in Xash. Here's video for you for HLDM running on Stock Dreamcast with 16 MB RAM captured from hardware. Keep in mind that I didn't done any rendering optimizations for now.

good job!
try using these player models -
and try using these weapon models -
,maybe the rendering will be better. I used RECTANGLE + VQ texture compression for PVR.

Oh you mean like GTA III was using to much course it's not just takes work ..
hey man, GTA3 is not an online game, and it needs little memory. but CS 1.6 uses more resources, most likely 16 mb ram will not be enough on real hardware, for online 10-12 players

Main problem is to assemble 10-12 players at same time on DC because of BBA.

Great job maxim! I've been following this closely. Keep up the good work. Does this support keyboard and mouse? Do you need a BBA to play online? I can potentially help with any multiplayer testing.
Original Dreamcast (VA1) GD-Rom w/ 56k Modem | Dreamcast (VA1) GDEMU w/ BBA | Keyboard, USB4Maple Mouse, VGA Adapter
