Mame game save bug on Gdemu

Hello, here it is, I've been trying for a few days to change the illustrations of an old Mame game, (which I use on Gdemu, the game works perfectly... well almost ) because I have the DATA folder of this game, it's an old game that was lying around in casinos, and which was considered an nsfw game: LaddyKiller. The interest of the game is funny, the fact that it is classified NSFW is precisely because of these images, but the game remains interesting. I managed to do everything, the images are changed (goodbye NSFW images!), no worries, but this Mame game originally created by Chui has always had a problem, even in its basic version. When saving, when you have to enter your name to save your score, the game freezes, as if there was no backup and therefore the game crashes and you have to restart the DC. Note that I have a CDI version of the game for GDEMU and I also created the image with Bootdream since I have the .bin with it, but no way, the game always crashes at the save level score.
Simple question: Should I give up then?

It is for use with the serial SD card. You need to place the folder in the root of the SD and run ladykill.bin. You can use Dreamshell for this in the File Manager app.

The goal is to run this game on Gdemu (either gdmenu or OpenMenu) via the Sd-Card, but I need the .CDI version, which I do with Bootdream, and so nothing works. There is a Vmu link problem between the game and the Dreamcast, I even tried to bypass and it blocks writing on the VMU, in vain. It is a Mame game then ported to GP2X by Puck2099 and finally ported to Dreamcast by Chui'... So the history is complex
