Dear friends, an idea arose to remove the bad fps in our favorite game, this is especially noticeable in large maps, we need people who will test this image, I have assembled it on the console) thank you very much)

Re: Unreal Tournament fps mods
Could you let us know what changes have been made in this version?
The link isn't giving me access, could you set it to public access please?

Re: Unreal Tournament fps mods
Removed decals after shots from any weapon should add +5-7 fps on heavy maps, reduced halos from teleports, textures set to low performance ))

Re: Unreal Tournament fps mods
Got to try this out last night. There seems to be a slight improvement in performance, though to be honest there are still plenty of framedrops, with the framerate still dipping into the single digits when things get heated with the Flak Cannon. It's nice to have this as an option instead of inputting console commands for each match though, if you're desperate for an improvement of a frame or two per second.
Just a heads up though that this CDI doesn't seem to have any music, or at least didn't play it when I burnt it to CD-R.

Re: Unreal Tournament fps mods
Long time lurker I've been testing this is does indeed seem to help with the FPS
what I've found in your image
No music
what command did you use to remove music was it intentional? did it help with FPS?
"set DCDrv.DCClient Decals False"
does seem to give a small boost when rockets are flying
"suck"
to get a frame counter
"slomo 0.95"
Result slows the game by 5% but will give a noticeable frame boost without IMO affecting the flow of the game.
"fov xx"
Result fov is increased / reduced default is "85" can increase the FPS in some situations by reducing this value to say "80" limiting the amount of geometry you can see.
I'm interested if there is any way to dump the console commands or structure for these as I'd love to test more for example reduce or remove rocket trails, play with lighting or texture quality ect.
The Framerate of this game on the mentioned "top" levels with the tweaks above make them IMO quite smooth to play.

Re: Unreal Tournament fps mods
I did study the PS2 and DC versions of this game to see what effects and things could be turned off or edited. I remember I edited some .ini file and rebuilt ISO to test but didn't notice things like coronas I tried to enable. But this game could use some good optimizations by editing files.
