Hello Dreamcast Fans,
Like many of you, I’m passionate about keeping the Dreamcast alive—not just by porting games from platforms like the PS1 or N64, but by creating original titles that bring fresh energy to this iconic console.
I’m currently developing an ambitious new JRPG called “Claws and Tears”, inspired by classics like Final Fantasy VII (1997). The game features a rich narrative, turn-based combat, and deep character arcs. You play as Aksel, a humanoid lion who awakens in a hidden lab with no memory. As he journeys through a shattered world, he forms bonds with new allies—and slowly unravels the mystery of his past.
My plan is to first release the game on PC (Steam), and then port it to other platforms—including my all-time favorite, the Sega Dreamcast.
In parallel, I’m also exploring the development of a Godot Engine plug-in that will limit and convert projects to match Dreamcast hardware specs and export directly to KallistiOS. I believe this could make Dreamcast development much more accessible for indie creators using modern tools.
If you're passionate about the Dreamcast, JRPGs, or low-level development—let’s connect! I’d love to share progress, swap insights, or even collaborate with others who want to see original Dreamcast games thrive again.
Let’s bring new life to the Dreamcast—one original game at a time!

I think it's great! I'd love to hear your progress along with photos of it.
It's really great news that Godot can be ported to Dreamcast. Could you explain how to do it?
