if you don't care for 3d (and by that I mean do you love arcade-style games), then YES, go for it, the saturn still offers some of the best 2D gameplay out there

mind though, it isn't as easy to play copies on as the dreamcast. in fact the saturn has one of the best protections out there (yes, even in this day & age). it MUST be chipped to play copies (well there's a swaptrick, but it doesn't work very well on a model 2 & most saturn you find nowadays are model 2, plus ist bad for the cddrive). otherwise you're stuck with just legit games (like me, but I don't mind). it has however for a few euro/bucks an action replay that lets you play 99% of the other region games without any problem (as long as they're legit).
if you buy a model 2 saturn, the chips can still be found (racketboy), and cost about €25.

found 2 gamegea games. i got world series baseball 95 and NFL 95 new in the box for 99 cents each. i already owned a copy of each but, i couldn't pass up 2 new gamegear games for 99 cents

Got a Sega Genesis 2 and sega cd for 5 bucks.
Only set back no controllers.
Also might I add they are in perfect condition.
