DreamCast Sonic

Post by TeamXlink »

Hey, I was looking into Sonic 3D Blast, and it turns out it is for the Sega Saturn, but after more searching there happens to be a Sega Saturn Emulator for the DreamCast located here. Has anyone Messed with it before?

Also another thing, what do you think is the best Sonic thats playable on the DreamCast. via Emulators, home brew, or commercial games? Also, pleas list one for 3d and 3d.

Thank you.

Sonic 3D Blast is also on the Genesis.

I would suggest using the Genesis emulator for the Dreamcast if you intend to play the game on a Dreamcast.

That would also give you all the Genesis Sonic games, which are most of the best ones.

The Saturn emulator is probably not good. The Saturn had 3 CPU's and one completely for sound so it makes it harder to emulate.

Sonic Adventure 2 is much better than SA1, but it's a bit more pricey. I consider it the best 3D sonic game, but if you want 2D, then you can't go wrong. Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles are all excellent.

I always heard that the Saturn version of Sonic 3d Blast was very similar to the Genesis one which I didn't care for.

As for best 3d Sonic game, I'd go with SA1.

^ This. If you want to emulate Saturn games, look into the PC emulator called SSF. For 2D Sonic games, I am a big fan of Sonic CD (the japanese version has more of an upbeat soundtrack).

For 3D, Sonic Adventure 1.
Keep dreaming.
