Should I buy Rainbow Cotton ?

Post by Neohound »

I love on-rails shooters like Rez and Panzer Dragoon so am considering Rainbow Cotton but most reviews slate it. Has anyone out there played it ? Is it really that bad ?

Thanks for the tips. I've got a Mac so I think i'll have to run Windows on it ? Or can I burn stuff using OSX ? I'll have to look through the forums for info i guess.

I've located an external firewire DVD drive for £32 which amazed me. Thought they were much more expensive ! I need to get this working cos of the homebrew I want plus those tasty HL mods.

Gary_b, can you use a DC pad whilst using an emulator ? Or is that a stupid question lol

I hear you man, I am addicted to the HL mods too, I always get so excited when a new one comes out. :D

About the DC Pad, I am assuming you are just talking about the default controller or Dpad? Yes, the emulators all use the controller, so no special game pads are needed.

Some emulators like NesterDC Special Edition allow you to map the d pad to the analog stic, which I find to be much more comfortable considering that the DC pad is lacking in design choice Dpad wise...

The Neo Geo CD games we have here use the analog by default, which is great, and these games feel like they were made for DC. If you ask me they work like they were ported from scratch the emulation is that good.

As for PS1 games, only 3 use the analog stick and can save and render perfectly, they other PS1 games we have here, are only controllable with the Dpad, and are sometimes quite glitchy.

Anthony817, I was meaning the DC Emulators such as Chankast, NullDC etc when asking about the use of the DC pad-sorry i didn't make that clear. Thanks for the info though, much appreciated.
