I think Lemans beats it in a pure visual sense but MSR is a better game overall. Love both though!

(Both games footage off of my DC, no emulation)

pffft, obviously you haven't played South Park Rally. The graphics in it are far superior, the textures are lifelike.

Lol, I need to get that game. Cartman is in a Delorean which happenes to be my favorite car of all time, pun intended. ok yeah stupid joke...

So, I see that MSR is basicaly PGR but on the DC? I really should get this game as PGR was very fun on 360.

yeah MSR was the first game in the PGR series. i wonder why they changed the name anyway? i like the project gotham racing games as well as MSR.

i would have to agree with 50inchDLP that test Test Drive Le Mans has slightly better visuals but the game becomes stale after a few races. i think that saying the graphics are better in TDL is kind of misleading. though they are sharper and more crisp with higher detail on the cars, the environments in MSR are larger and more detailed IMO. both games have a night and day system but MSR's is done in true time. if it is 9am in San Francisco in real life, it will be 9am in San Francisco in the game. i always thought that was a pretty cool concept.

Yes, Sega own the rights to the name Metropolis Street Racer but Bizarre Creations & Microsoft own the rights to the 'kudos' feature! :?

As for the name change from MSR to Project Gotham, I think it was because Metropolis=Superman, Gotham=Batman. Project Gotham was only supposed to be a development title but the name stuck.

I would classify the PGR games as the offspring of MSR rather than sequels. This is because the car handling physics is so radically different between the two. PGR's handling actually has more in common with the demo versions of MSR rather than the finished version of MSR...

Wow lol, the Superman/Batman city therory sounds awesome. I have to tell my brother this, much lulz will ensue.

You know, so much of the Dreamcast lived on in the Xbox and 360, but that can naver make up for the fact that it is still not a Sega machine, and it doesn't have 100% Sega heritage, even though Micro$oft did use every idea they could from the Dreamcast...

These two games may look the best but what racing game is the best, as in most fun?
