I'm desperate to somehow play Elevator Action Returns (the Saturn title). I know that Yabuse .98 exists but I was never able to get that to boot, let alone play.
Is it possible to somehow get this emulated on my trusty DC? I'm jonesin for some EA!
Thanks.

Your best bet for Saturn era EA games is to look for the Bleemed PSX titles. I think I uploaded a few sports titles, check the Bleem section and see for yourself.

Take it from me (the guy who maintains the Dreamcast port of Yabause), don't expect the Dreamcast port of Yabause to ever be really playable. Its more of a "because I can" type of port, and it gives me a chance to experiment with various emulation techniques.ScDream wrote:I'm desperate to somehow play Elevator Action Returns (the Saturn title). I'd love to see the Saturn emulated full-speed on the Dreamcast, but at the same time I'm a realist. I'm pretty sure it'll never happen.

Word! I just say that we should be VERY fortunate that the PS1 Bleem beta games work as well as they do. Do what I do and get the multiplatform Saturn titles that have been bleemed, its better than nothing right?BlueCrab wrote:I'd love to see the Saturn emulated full-speed on the Dreamcast, but at the same time I'm a realist. I think it would be nice if we compiled a list of PS1 games that work bleemed that were also released on Saturn.

Well, personally, I'm against pirating the bleem!cast beta in that way. So, I personally would never do that. I've had some good conversations with Rand, and I couldn't ever betray him that way. (Not to mention my normal anti-pirate ways).Anthony817 wrote:Word! I just say that we should be VERY fortunate that the PS1 Bleem beta games work as well as they do. I wish the Saturn different have four separate processors. That would make it easier to emulate.

Re: Need for Elevator Action Action
4 Processors? Not quite, really there's only 3... The Saturn has 2x Hitachi SuperH 2 and 1x Motorola 68EC000. Beyond that, it has your standard assortment of other components for a video game console (video, control logic, sound, etc). The main complexities of emulating the Saturn don't lie in the multiple processors, but in the "standard" stuff. VDP2 is quite the complex beast to emulate well, as is the SCSP.Favrenation wrote:I wish the Saturn different have four separate processors. That would make it easier to emulate.
