'Dream On' Series

Post by Roman »

Hi! As some of may know already I have found two boxes with over 100 games and accessories in that had been forgotten. Some of these are up for auction on Ebay.co.uk at the moment.

Also in the collection are 5 discs entltled "Dream On". I used to work for Emi Manufacturing when we had the Sega account but I can't remember what these are or were for. I can see they are playable demos and have game samplers as well as movie clips of what I am guessing, were at the time, forthcoming games but I'm not entirely sure.

They are entitled Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3 and Volume 21, so I guess there were a fair few of them but I just can't remember. I have 2 discs entitled Volume 3 in different colours, although they have the same game demos. They are not white labels although Volume 1 is white!! I can't remember whether they were for internal purposes or for public consumption.

Two of them have promotional print inserts like the type we would use for covermount(inc magazines) but not necessarily. Does any one know anything about these please? I will put them up for auction in my next set of lots as I am sure they will be of interest to someone but I will need to know what they are for in the first place!!! All help gratefully received! Dream On was the European (or at least British) Official Dreamcast Magazine. It went for 21 issues and each issue had a demo disc.

What you have are just some of the demo discs.

OMG Its like a flashback!!! Thank you AdamKoralik, as ever on the ball!!

It's all coming back to me. They are definitely what we in the industry call a cover mount. Do you think anyone would be interested in them after all this time?

Probably.

I have a complete set of all the magazines and the discs, so I personally don't need them.

But there are always people that want Dreamcast stuff.

But honestly, they're not worth much unless the set is complete.

Yeh as said above they are the Demo disc's that came with the official dreamcast mag.

In all honesty you would be best off putting them as a bundle together if its only a couple as they don't fetch very much unless the're a full set

Do you have any magazines to go with them? If you did and threw them out thats too bad. Folks like to collect them, but if you had the magazines they would be worth more like others here said.

Thanks Guys. No I don't have any magazines. I was only ever responsible for manufacturing the piece of plastic with the hole in it!

I'll put them up for auction next time around. Doesn't matter what they sell for really, so long as they go to good home!!Thanks for help and advice as always!

Yep he's reached his 100 selling limit this month on ebay, so there will be more next month (watching this like a hawk)

'He'..... ? Ollie3146 I keep telling you I'm a 'she'!!!!
Yes I have in the region of about 60 more games I think, which are unused, i.e. new but not sealed though. "Pity" I hear the collective moan!

Can't help that! As I keep telling you I didn't know how important that would be when I stashed them away! Anyway, clearly I'm going nowhere fast as Ollie3146 has correctly identified, Ebay have stopped me selling anything else. They want me to register as a Business seller!!

I've declined and they are considering my appeal!! So I will let you know when that is sorted and the rest are up.....hopefully next month. Just think of it as an early Christmas present to yourselves...because you're worth it!
