The PAL version works on a non-chiped American dreamcast as long as it is a backup burned disc. It has also been moded to use the American Xbox English speech too. Smith made it before he left. Don't believe me? Well look at this thread I made.

Nah, standard CD-ROM's work just fine, check out the tutorials on this site. You might have to give it a shot or 2, as your DC might see them as audio discs...

Haha yeah! You can burn any game to a cdr and play it on any Dreamcast! That is one reason the system died so early!

Go out and buy you a stack of 100 cdr's at Walmart. Then download DJ 3.5 trial and follow my directions on the download page.

The thing about GDR's is that Sega partnered up with yamaha to use them as an unpiratable media for the DC. Somebody found a way to play games on music cd's and it has been easy for anyone to play burnt games just fine.

Dude, I had no idea even 2 years ago that this was possible, it is the reason I am here now and own a Dreamcast nowadays. This past year and a half I have been a Hardcore Dreamcast fan like I never was when I actualy owned the system brand new. If I would have known what I do now I never would have sold my first Dreamcast.
