connect dc to internet over wireless network
so i got a dc with a phone port and i read how to set up a dialup server and all but can i do it with out a modem? perhaps emulate a modem through software bc i dont hav the money atm to buy another modem. i got win 7 x64. i hav a line port on my pc but its not integrated(its in the spot where you would put extra usb ports or internet cards if that matters) i made a diagram of how my setup is to better explain it(i drew it with my smart phone so...yea)

if your PC doesn't have a modem it will not work.

You can buy a 56k modem for your PC for <$10. If thats too much then I don't know what to tell you. Go steal one.

Re: connect dc to internet over wireless network
I use a network bridge like smith had but it is meant for one. The guide he posted is for DD-WRT which is custom firmware for routers. What it does is connect to a wireless network and then it has an ethernet port on the back of it to plug into any wired device. I use that because the PC i use for the server is running windows ME which does'nt support my wifi card drivers. If you use Brourke28's vmware guide then if you are already on a wireless network it will work.
EDIT: About buying a modem is has to be voice compatible. If your PC has a phone jack on the back of it it already has one.
