I recall reading that a planetweb3 browser used a sort of java, but its limited. I don't think that the dreamcast can support the memory usage of java (16mb limit?) for practical use (streaming)

What was that future internet thing being developed called HT5 or something, where you don't have to install java, it runs all kinds of animated webpages from some kind of service and it should work with Dreamcast and lesser internet browsing machines.

HTML 5, and its quite versatile. EA Is presently developing a game based on Sci-Fi/SyFy's BSG using only HTML 5.

Wow thanks for the correction, I knew it was something like that. Dreamcast should be able to display all the features of it correctly right? Like, we should have almost as dynamic of an experiance as on a PC right?

Problem is that the Java on the DC Browser is about 10 years old.

DC doesn't have HTML5. HTML5 official standards aren't even out yet.

No not yet, but when it comes out I am saying, it should make the browsing better than it is now when that happens right?

Don't count on it. It's undoubtedly going to incorporate new language tags that DC Web Browsers won't be able to recognize how to interpret.
