New to Dreamcast Mods

Hey guys, hows it going?

I recently bought a dreamcast off ebay for a good price, and thought I could have some fun with it since I like old school machines (and i used to own a dreamcast back in the day).

It was really cool to see there is still a dreamcast community out there, and I just wanted to stop by and give a friendly hello.

I am also looking into doing my first dreamcast mod (and first mod ever), and don't know where to start. Could you recommend some common mods that people do to their dreamcast (in any particular order), or some that they would suggest for a beginner. I got the machine for 12 bucks, so I'm not really afraid to have at it. But I do enjoy playing dreamcast games on it as well, lol.

Other than that --- what do YOU like to do with your dreamcast the most,(I know some obvious answers are PSO, Q3, or my personal fav Soul Calibur..) besides making love to it?

You could overclock it (search google for overclock Dreamcast an you should find a guide), add a mod chip, add extra cooling, build an internal VGA board, or the best thing you could do to start is to take it apart an clean it - clean around the fan and disc shut switch - every DC I have modded has been filthy inside!

Thanks man. Those videos were actually really helpful.... I didn't realize there was so much that went into opening the dreamcast... i should feel safe doing whatever i wanna do with it now

probably going to start with cleaning and then move on to other random minor things
