Im gonna with no, it was not win CE based. Yes its running on a low framerate but at least it has a rock solid framerate with little to no slowdown at all. Trickstyle does indeed support VGA via forced or tricked (see pcwzrd's vga video found on the vid thread) more questions please ;)

Criterion, the company that made Trickstyle, were well known for their graphics and particularly their 'RenderWare' which was developed inhouse and licensed to many other companies. I'm fairly sure Trickstyle was made using a version of RenderWare. Other games on DC using a similar engine were Suzuki Alstares and Deep Fighter.

The graphics are indeed nice in Trickstyle as is the idea behind the game - sorta like a cross between Wipeout and Tony Hawks. Also the soundtrack will have many fans, but the actual game is mediocre.

As oppose to answering DC related questions, i'd like to ask one of my own...

Regarding the Official Dreamcast VGA box, did Sega ever actually market this peripheral for retail anywhere outside of japan? Basically was there ever a U.S or U.K SKU of this official Sega accessory?

I don't think so. I believe Sega just did the same thing they did with the light gun and licensed third parties to manufacture it in the US and UK.

I thought so, I just wasn't 100% sure.. I guess that explains the expensive price tag on the official box.

 Oops sorry, just trying to give an honest appraisal ! Actually I'm not sure what you disagree with ? The music, the game, both ? IIRC the music was by Kurtis Mantronik.......formerly of Mantronix fame and producer of The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim among others.

The last time I had my mouth washed out with soap was when I was eight years old and was caught by my mother smoking one of my dads cigarettes. I was blowing bubbles all night after that. Ouch !

Nowadays my mouthwashes tend to be of the high alcohol content variety :)

New Dreamcast question! Regarding the early design model Dreamcast, also known as Model "0". There are claims that they are only to be found in Japan, which isn't true because I own a US model. Does anyone anywhere own a Model "0" PAL unit or know for sure that there is model 0 PAL Dreamcast console?
