I followed the link someone provided earlier and assumed you guys were talking about the JAP/NTSC ones instead of PAL.
I was :) The slightly larger JPN cases are 2mm thicker and the tabs to hold in a booklet are larger. The instruction books (at least for DOA2 and CVS2) are too thick and don't fit into standard CD cases at all. The spine part of the back insert is also too wide... Believe me, if you could just use a normal CD case, I would never have posted that link ;)

Does anyone have any idea how I can get a replacement PAL 2CD case? One of my Shenmue 2 cases has all the teeth inside broken off and is otherwise extremely cracked (arrived that way even though it was new!). I don't suppose there is a PAL 2 disc equivalent to a cheap game like Chu Chu Rocket? How $$ would PAL RE Code Veronica be?

god yeah I hate those stupid little blue teeth, that was always the first part to go for me lol, I'll have a look around and see if I can find them, I was lucky years ago when they were in abundance after the DC ended

dark, the PaL cases are the same for 1 or 2 disc games. At least I've never noticed a difference ?! lol So any game should suffice.

you are correct good sir, all pal blue cases were immediately made to cater to two discs, same as PS1 PAL cases and Mega CD cases

So if I buy PAL Chu Chu Rocket - it will have two sets of teeth to hold two discs?

Not all PAL PS1 cases were 2 disc cases. Far from it...

Mega CD longboxes weren't either...

hmm... now that you mention the PS1 cases I guess some of them werent, although I can remember those double side ones like Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy 8, but I'm pretty sure all the smaller Mega CD cases in the PAL region were 2 disc, the only long one I ever got in the UK had space for 2 discs anyway

But certainly the DC PAL cases were always double sided for whatever random reason lol

personally I like the "double" PAL cases, it makes a lot of sense when you collect white labels, you can just put em in on the other side ;)

So I played Test Drive Le Mans (AKA Le Mans 24 Hours) for the first time today. I read some reviews of it and they all mentioned how great it is that the time of day changes, which affects the lighting.

I understand the Le Mans option is designed to simulate the Le Mans race on the Le Mans racetrack - but is there ever any (unlockable?) option to race the other tracks at different times of day/night, or to race the other tracks for a simulated 24 hour period? Or is that option only for the Le Mans track?
