Psychic Force 2012
In honor of the new year, 2012, I was considering picking this game up. I looked some videos up, and I got kind of a Power Stone vibe off of it. Got decent reviews. Any opinions? Also, I'm looking at getting the Japanese version.

Lol! Ah 2012 is right around the corner and perhaps so is Psychic Force for you. I have both US and JPN versions (both sadly, do not support VGA). I wouldn't say it's like power stone. There is only one game at the top of my head that resembles Psychic Force and that would be Destrega for PSX. The game is unque in that it heavily relies on positioning long range fighting and proper use of projectiles. It's a sweet little game. You may dig it. It unfortuately lack additional modes so it's perplay value is very small.

Re: Psychic Force 2012
It hadn't occurred to me how topical the game was at this time lol Thanks for pointing it out, I've surely got to give it a go now.
It's a bit different to your usual fighting games, fairly unique. I thought it was a cool little game though I can't say I've replayed it much.
CD AGES, I've only just recently worked out how to play S-Video + audio through my AV amp and I can honestly say that the results are damned good. I wish I had a way of showing you the quality, I think you'd be impressed. It opens up my Dreamcast library so that I can enjoy games again that I've been ignoring before.

Re: Psychic Force 2012
No need to explain Neohound, I got an S-video setup for my SNES, Saturn and DC. It's a very improved alternative to AV. And I play all non VGA compatible titles (KOF 98/99, Psychic Force etc)..

Re: Psychic Force 2012
Yes you're right, S-Video is a marked step up in quality from composite. Previously I could only pass the s-video signal through unaltered to my tv/projector ie it would still display at 480i with all the usual s-video faults. What I've now done is put the s-video signal through processing via the av amp. This corrects all sorts of things in the picture as well as deinterlacing it. In other words it is virtually indistinguishable from a vga/480p native picture.CD AGES wrote:No need to explain Neohound, I got an S-video setup for my SNES, Saturn and DC. Re: Psychic Force 2012
lol Your tv's doing the same thing as my amp if it's an lcd\led flatscreen
...........It's just that I spent £1000 extra on getting it done
ah, noticed you said it was a crt tv. If that's the case then S-video should look pretty decent anyway. Certainly above av/composite quality.

Correct! It looks really good! Sharper and more clearer than Av.

Re: Psychic Force 2012
the graphics certainly aren't fantastic by todays standards BUT the controls are awesome, the game is nothing like Power Stone really, its a straight up fighting game, the difference is that your constantly floating in flight AND the special moves are EPIC. Fantastic little fighting game thats very refreshing/original
