For some reason I could never play all the way through rainbow cotton.Only made it to like the 4 th stage.I hate that the aiming reticule always resets to the center.Its quite the pretty game with diverse looking stages.

@Ultra
I'm a huge Armored Core fan, I even liked the newer ones a bit :D . Besides the little drones that really relied on good crystals and could be better than others I never cared for the rest of the parts that you could make. It seemed like I couldn't build a better weapon or better legs for example but rather just a better element with a slightly different look that is more effective against other mechs. I could be wrong since I didn't get too far but it just turned me off from it. I remember I would always use the dual machine guns in Armored Core: Masters of the Arena. They weren't the most expensive or necessarily the best but my play style fit them perfectly and I really wish that feeling carried over to Frame Gride.

fair enough I personally liked the item creation but nevermind. I need to try out the translated version!

AC was awesome, after the first I wasn't that big a fan of the ps2 ones but the xbox ones have been good, 4 and for answer were pretty awesome! If I do some ac1 I might just capture it and upload

definitely do! I've played Masters of the Arena, the ps2 one and 4. I personally loved all of them even if they lost a bit of spirit with each new addition (I felt they got a bit lazy). And don't take my criticisms of FG the wrong way, I could totally see how someone would like it, it just wasn't my thing :D

No way! I never prefer an arcady style game to a more in depth action game, or are you purely talking about graphics?

I'm gonna have to agree with Neohound on account of VOOT being the better game. Regardless of VOOT arcade nature, it's one heck of a deep game! Very technical and plenty to ultimately master!

no way! you guys are nuts, VOOT just irritated the hell outta me and theres nothing more to it other than 8 or so arcade battles! Still if you prefer that type of game then fair enough, I guess I prefer a more story driven, action adventure style game

If that's all you see in VOOT, then you lack to see the bigger picture. The games true nature lies in it's comptetitive nature thru it Vs mode with a human opponent with equal knowledge of the game. The game itself does a marvelous job of creating a well paced mech simulator especially with a pair of Twin sticks, it's unrivaled. But yes, to each their own I suppose...

well there you are, what are the chances of me, a 29 year old who is engaged and living with my fiance, finding someone in my social circle who not only owns and has played or at least has a working knowledge of VOOT, or is interested in learning it with me, or has the time to do so with me? Most of my friends/family are either married, have kids or both! So thats why I prefer something that has a single player mode I can sink my teeth into and won't drive me up the wall in frustration lol
